Gail’s Bakery is an artisan bakery and there are many branches around London. The Bloomsbury branch was previously known as Gail’s Kitchen but is now Gail’s Bakery and is open for breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea.
We visited their Bloomsbury branch for Sunday brunch, which is located on one of the side street off Tottenham Court Road.
I selected their Shakshuka which consisted of eggs and feta baked in tomato and pepper sauce. The dish was served with a thick slice of toasted crusty bread, which I found the texture was too hard for me. Instead my preference would had be a soft and slightly toasted bread would had gone well with the shakshuka.
Pancakes with streaky bacon, maple syrup and butter was nothing special. I felt it was really fatty with both butter and syrup.
