This has to be one of the restaurant I visited in 2014 that is high on my recommendation list, for those special occasions. Not only do you get a beautiful view of London from The Shard, but excellent all round service.
We originally wanted to book the Ting lounge which serves afternoon tea and a range of Asian dishes including Wonton noodle soup and Hainanese Chicken Rice. I thought it would had been a great mixture that would cater for us beautiful ladies with afternnon tea, while the others who are less keen could opt for the lounge a la carte. Unfortunately, they were fully booked so opted for lunch at the main dining area of Ting restaurant which serves a Modern European menu.
Ting restaurant in my view is pricey in the reason it is categorise in my mind as a place for those special occasions. But in the main restaurant they do a lunch set menu which is resonable price – 2 courses for £27 and 3 courses for £30.
There are a range of sides you can order to go with you main. We ordered a few different sides to share around the tables.
What makes Ting restaurant special and the place for celebration is that you can order celebration cakes directly from Ting restaurant. I wanted some thing not too so ordered a fresh cream strawberry cake, over the chocolate cake.
Unlike some classy restaurant, I am delighted to say that Ting charge cake by the size you order and not by the number of heads booked to dine. This is much more logical way as not every one might want dessert or some might want to have the dessert from the a la carte.
To finish off our beautiful birthday lunch, the restaurant served us some complimentary petit fours.
Prices correct at the time of dining.
