To celebrate a friend’s birthday we had dinner at the Winter Garden restaurant in The Landmark hotel, located in London Marylebone. The restaurant has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes in the 5 star London hotel.
The most capturing about the Winter Garden is the surrounding of dining indoors as if you are outdoors with the huge palm trees. As we were dining in the evening, the atmosphere was dark with the dim lighting and live piano playing made this a romantic place for a special date. I could imagine the different atmosphere it bring in the day when the sun shine through the glass roof to give it a nice summer garden feel.
We went for a three course set dinner, which was a great special offer that we took at the time. Each course was beautifully served although it could had been a bit more warmer.
Starters I ordered the Kedgeree, which is a dish I have been wanting to try making myself. This has to be a posh version of kedgeree.
My main was interested with the range of combination flavour.
Desserts is usually my best part of all the courses. There was a range of beautiful desserts around the table.
The complimentary warm soft bread that came with a range of tasty dipping, was a great bite to have while waiting for our starter.
The Winter Garden is a wonderful venue for many special occasion, with the beautiful atmosphere that leave me wanting a revisit.
