Adobo have been opened less than a year in Holborn but not had the opportunity to try until now. It always bring a delight to me to see that it is not another shop selling sandwiches in Holborn, as it can get boring when you have it almost every day of the working week.
Here you can get freshly made burritos that come in two size – regular or small. You have a choice of white or brown rice, beans (black or pinto) or fajitaS, with a choice of meats, salsa, cheese, sour cream and lettuce. There is a choice of meat to choose – chicken, beef, meatballs and pulled pork.
I went for white rice, fajitas, cheese, sour cream, lettuce, guacamole (which is extra charge on the meat burritos) with my favourite pulled pork. On the menu it says it is spicy pulled pork and most places are non-spicy. But the waiter told me the pulled pork was not spicy and it was true.
It was definitely a tasty burritos which I actually think tasted better than Benito’s Hat (https://chechemui.wordpress.com/2010/09/19/benitos-hat/). The adobo pulled pork was nice and soft and the whole combination with the fluffy rice and the fajitas mix was good.
Adobo also do a vegetarian burritos, as well as tacos. If you prefer something lighter then you can get a salad burritos which is salad leaf base instead of the flour tortilla wrap, with a choice of dressing.
I will be looking forward to my next lunch visit at Adobo.
