Golden Dragon (金龍軒) – London Chinatown

There are so many Chinese resturants in greater London that serve dim sums, that you do not have to go all the way in to Central London China town. But it still nice from time to time to go to London China town to have lunch.

Golden Dragon is a place we will usually go for dim sum but also for their roasted meat such as their roast duck. But apart from that I know that they have a dim sum menu that that has their monthly special dim sum. Here are a few we selected at the time:

Chinese style salmon pie

In many places you will see Chinese steamed sponge cake but only a few places offer the layered Chinese steamed sponge cake (千層馬拉糕).  Smiliar to the tradition version but instead it has layers of custards which gives it a taste like the steamed custard bun which make it sweeter.

In such a warm weather, it is nice to have food that are on the cold or refreshing side. So I am glad to see something to suit the weather.

Vietnamese-stye rice paper roll, filled with shredded chicken and corriander.  This reminded me the time when I had something smiliar in Hong Kong at Rice Paper in Harbour City.

Starwberry Jelly (士多啤利果凍), which is a refreshing to have to cool in this warm weather.
