It is that time again – Chinese New Year! This year we welcome to 2010 the year of tiger. I do like Chinese new year because it is a time of celebration where we meet up with families and friends. It is also the time to eat lots of food and many speciality food that is for the new year.
White radish cake is one of them, although you can eat them all year around. It is a common food that you can eat at dim sum. But it is also one of the food which people will eat over at Chinese new year. This year we try to make our own white radish cake which has been on my list to make for a long time. This year finally got the chance 🙂
As the first day of Chinese new year fall on the 14th February which we all know as valentine day, we thought it be nice to make one white radish cake in a heart shape. It was just too beautiful to eat or cut up 🙂
