Chinese New Year Cookies (賀年揮春曲奇)

賀年揮春曲奇

For Chinese new year this year, I thought I do something special. It was to be something that I wanted to be able to give others. It is always wonderful to make someone smile. The sense of happiness when you see a glow in others eyes when they receive gifts from others.

I decided to make cookies that were decorated with Chinese new year greeting. You have the options to eat them or actually hang them over new year like we do with posters with Chinese new year greeting, that we stick around the house.

I used the cranberries cookies recipe (https://chechemui.wordpress.com/2010/01/17/cranberries-cookies/), but only left out the cranberries. It is a really simple cookie recipe which with just some imagination you can turn a recipe to lots of variety of cookies recipes 🙂
